Acrylic Sandwich Signage

As the name suggests, two sheets of transparent acrylic are made from an acrylic sandwich display case. Between these two boards, the actual communication/poster to be shown is mounted. These sheets offer a great glass-like look, minus the weight or handling hassles of glass because they are made of clear acrylic.

Sandwich Board of Acrylic. These boards are designed to keep the poster or image in places with durable quality panels that are clipped together. These sleek and polished boards, designed according to contemporary decor trends, come with the promise of a dust-proof finish and a non-yellowing surface.

Why Use Acrylic Sandwich Boards?

Simple to mount and maintain: Acrylic sheets are easy to handle and highly lightweight. They can be easily managed and kept clean, aside from a one-time installation effort. You get the clarity and finish of glass with acrylic sandwich sheets, without the associated weight.

• Easy to upgrade communications: The poster/communication inside the acrylic picture frame can be easily modified without any specific skills involved. This doesn't require you to call a specialist fitter/installation expert and can be easily done by one of the staff/team members Inexpensive: Price-wise, a fairly inexpensive and high-return solution is the sandwich acrylic surface. The big cost is the real cost that has to be paid only once. When mounted, the only recurring expense is that of printing the new posters for the items, deals, etc. And the expense of just printing the poster is very insignificant.

Looks impressive: Half of the print's aesthetic appeal stems from the fact that it is obvious and clean to look at. The transparent plastic sheets that look exactly like glass are acrylic, also known as perspex sheets. The other half is the result of a 3D effect, in which the print appears to be floating away from the wall.

Acrylic 'Floating' Picture Frames Creation

The following fundamental components are made of an acrylic sandwich frame:
Base Acrylic Sheet: This acts as the base plate on which the picture print is placed, usually 3 mm or 5 mm thick. On the base plate rests the entire acrylic frame setup.

Top Acrylic Sheet: This plate sits atop the picture print, usually 2mm or 3 mm thick. This plate offers a visually strong and polished finish to the sandwich acrylic surface. To remove/replace the print inside, this plate can also easily be unscrewed

Print carrying promotional communication: Between the base and top plates, this high-resolution picture print is placed/sandwiched. Typically this is a print on the vinyl picture or high-resolution poster paper. To extend its lifespan, we also laminate the print.

Floating Acrylic Picture Frames: The floating effect achieved by making the print at a small distance from the wall is a big part of the panel's appeal. Tiny metallic cylinders are first drilled into the wall for this. On these cylinders, the entire frame rests. They create a void by raising the acrylic frame away from the wall effectively. Therefore, in hardware shops, these cylinders are sometimes called 'risers'. Placed on the risers are the base plate, print, and top plate.

Holes for risers and stud caps: There are four 10 mm holes at the corners of an acrylic case. Under each of these holes, inch long risers/cylinders (as mentioned above) are mounted. You can screw in a cap screw or stud in it and the risers are hollow. Between the riser and stud cap, the two sheets of acrylic and the imprint inside are kept. All in place, the stud caps on top hold everything. Together, all these components make for an amazing floating 3D acrylic picture frame that highlights the print well and gives the whole panel an impressive look and feel.

An economic variant of acrylic poster frames: The use of a base plate is ideal for situations in which contact needs to be changed/updated regularly. But the base acrylic plate is substituted by a sheet of sunboard in a cheaper version of acrylic sandwich frames. The thickness of this sheet is usually 3-5 mm. In cases where the life of contact inside the frame is longer, this version of the acrylic picture frame is more fitting. A company's mission statement or marquee product images could be examples of more permanent content. These kinds of posters are more or less permanent and will remain the same for long periods. Since the equation eliminates one sheet of acrylic (the base plate), this version also costs less.

Crystal edge for the frames: our laser machine cuts the acrylic sheets. This provides a very smooth and even finish for them. This adds a 'crystal finish' to the acrylic poster frames that look nice when viewed from the side.

How quick are the prints in an acrylic sandwich frame to change?

1. Unscrew the stud caps at the sandwich acrylic frame corners

2. Now, the top sheet is removable.

3. Substitute the inside print

4. Return the top plate to its place and screw in the caps of the stud. This method is very simple and can be carried out in your shop/office by anyone. It should take you less than 5 minutes in total to alter the print. This is what makes the frames of acrylic posters such a convenient option for shops where execution speed matters.
